The doctors then were very concerned about the schools treatment of my children and connected us with an advocate. This new doctor was in this practice thirty years ago when both of my children with HS went there. ![]() He refused to do this and the school said that he said my grandchild with HS was perfectly healthy and he would not do this. Her pediatrition was faxed a request to fill out a new form for school called Other Health Impairment. Her health information was documented through Special Ed when she entered school and she was given a 504 ARD. The school has lost her notes and wanted us to get them replaced as well as her documentation (the OHI) for her reason for absences. We don't take her to the doctor unless she has a symptom that is uncontrollable with OTC meds. My grandchild with HS gets sick a little more than other children.
